Long-winded musings of a good clarinetist gone bad, trying to get good again.
Currently picking myself up by my (cute) boot-straps. Attended St. Olaf College (one year), Boston Conservatory, and The Hartt School for clarinet performance and music education. Past performances with Rochester Orchestra, Minnesota Philharmonic, Dakota Valley Symphony, First Unitarian of Minneapolis Symphony, St. Anthony Symphony, and others. Former student of Scott Andrews (Boston Symphony & St. Louis Symphony,) and Alan R. Kay (Orpheus) Desperately trying to get my groove back... *sigh*
JUNE UPDATE:
Bob & I continue to play every week (only missing two or three since we started!!!) for two hours. For the past few months, we have been following rehearsals with sorbet, coffees, various desserts, appetizers, and other concoctions involving champagne. We are currently working on both Krommer Double Concerti.
I have also sought out a teacher and am taking lessons for the first time in three years. **pat on the back**
One giant goal I have is to get back into consistent practicing. MMMMM HMMMM!! It's so challenging and is the main focus of this blog!
